This is a documentation site of a healthcare design project conducted in 2011-2012. In the project, design researchers teamed up with hospital employees to study how design methods could be utilized in the planning of hospital services and environments. The central aim was to situate patients into the centre of hospital operations and build the organization around them. For this end we utilized human-centered design methods in two pilot cases: the treatment sarcoma patients and the building of a new hospital wing.
